Especially during the cold season, the use of paper tissues is noticeable in the trash can. With these beautiful handkerchiefs the changeover to the washable alternative is even easier.

The set contains 5 handkerchiefs with blue wave pattern on white background.

The famous pattern of the wave crest is a traditional Japanese pattern. It is called "Seigaiha" in Japanese and symbolizes the ebb and flow of life. Sometimes there are unpleasant surprises in life, which we experience colloquially like a "blue miracle" (in German we say "Ein blaues Wunder erleben). Here in Dresden, we connect the "Blaues Wunder" with a bridge on the Elbe river, which connects the districts Blasewitz and Loschwitz. It got this name because it was allegedly originally painted green around 1893, but then changed its colour to blue.

It was also a miracle that the bridge held at all! Many people did not want to believe the daring steel construction and there had to be extensive show tests (with horse-drawn carriages!) so that even the most fearful among the Dresdeners dared to walk over the bridge.

We could all use a little miracle right now and we wish that we could express this wish with our design.

The organic cotton fabric with the wave pattern was produced especially for us.

Material characteristics

The handkerchiefs are made of strong and tearproof cotton.
Unlike disposable handkerchiefs, they do not fall apart when wet.

Possible applications

nose blowing, teardrop or sweat wiping
against small crumbs
as underlay for unclean seats
small wounds can be covered with it
moistened and with knots in the corners it is comfortable for little ones to wear on the head in hot weather
picked cherries or a few mushrooms from the roadside can be easily transported in it
cooked food can be strained and much more
even with mommy's spit it's a lot better than a wet wipe

Care instructions

If you have a cold, we recommend a washing temperature of 60°C with heavy-duty detergent.
When lightly soiled, wash at 30-40°C with your normal colored laundry.
Please do not hand wash the first time, otherwise the colours may bleed out.
Please spin at the lowest number of revolutions.
Do not use fabric softener
The handkerchiefs are suitable for drying and ironing.
